Jeeva Raghunath pioneered the storytelling movement in Tamil Nadu, India. She has represented her country at various festivals around the globe. She has won the "Best Entrepreneur Award" for her contribution to storytelling as well as the "Pride of Asia" prize awarded by Surindra Rajabhat University, Surin, Thailand.
Her company, Kathaikalatta, has been organising an international storytelling festival “Under the Aalamaram!” since 2014 and has featured over 45 international storytellers. Jeeva has authored 10 storybooks for children and translated over 65 picture books from English to Tamil.
Jeeva’s workshops are highly interactive and based on time-tested storytelling ideas. The topics include storytelling techniques, story development, communication skills through stories, exploring India and developing language skills through stories. The settings for these programmes include schools, colleges, cultural associations, social clubs, hospitals, libraries and museums, festivals, community centres, private parties… there has been no limit so far.
