Masterclass: Making the Library Come alive! - Using Art as a Tool With Roshan Sahi

Books and libraries are much more than mere physical objects in space and time. They are means of experiencing how we feel about the world around us. In all this, art plays a role not just in the creation of the books, making the library an engaging space

Roshan Sahi is a freelance artist and crafts-person. He is an art practitioner and also works as a consultant arts and craft facilitator in different schools and colleges. Working outdoors is an important dimension in his art practice. He worked as a horticultural therapist with people of special needs in the UK (2008-2011). He collaborated in a variety of arts and craft projects including setting up Labyrinth design collaborative. He co-authored Learning through art handbook (2005) that evolved through interactions in government primary schools. Roshan was artist-in-residence at Srishti school for Art, Design and Technology for a period of two years (2011-2012) he worked on an arts-ecology project concerning cultural impacts on the landscape. He has worked for the India Foundation for the Arts and is visiting Faculty at the Azim Premji University (APU).
