Masterclass: Make your Library Alive with Art and Book Activities

By: Team Parag

Often the library is seen as a transaction point between the librarian and the reader. In reality this transaction is very valuable. Both for the librarian as well as the reader.

Ajaa Sharma leads capacity building at Tata Trusts’ Parag Initiative for children's libraries and plays a key role as faculty lead for the Library Educator's Course. She believes in nurturing educators and enabling children's response and engagement with books in all possible ways.

Nitu Singh is a library and craft practitioner. She works with the Parag initiative of Tata Trusts and anchors the Library Educators Course. She has worked in the domain of teacher education, engaging with teaching and curriculum development. She also trains librarians for enhancing library practices. Nitu is passionate about making toys from trash, and enjoys writing on libraries, reading and children's literature.

Proma Basu Roy works in education with the Parag initiative of Tata Trusts. She looks after the Big Little Book Award (BLBA) programme. Proma considers art to be the basis of all learning, and believes that magic takes place when the craft of hands and the craft of stories meet.
